Our planet is so verdant with life we’re still ages away from discovering its many forms. Earth is bursting with so much variety, in so many environments large and small, that we’re driving loads of species extinct before we have a chance to even know them.
Thankfully, one aspect of human nature drives some of the species to seek, and the people at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) have been searching ocean depths hard. Recently, they’ve found some wonders in the depths of the Pacific.
Let the images speak for themselves. Then ask: why are so many so willing to spend so much time, energy, and money to move to a dead, barren planet called Mars?
The willingness to forsake life on Earth for Mars is vain and inane.
It is the NOAA (and its ilk), its supporters, and its work that shall advance the species.
